Funny that nobody in our genius press corps has noted the fact that US law actually recommends burning flags. Yes, US 4-1-8(k) states "The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning."

The VFW, the American Legion, and the Boy Scouts all recommend burning flags.

Of course, this is all about disposal of flags in a respectful manner, lest they be buried in a landfill like garbage.

What this means is that those who wish to punish protestors for burning flags are not concerned about the act, but about the thought behind the act.

In other words, what Don The Con is proposing is a thought crime.

Big Brother has arrived, and will be moving into the White House in January.
